Working Principle (Double Conversion Online UPS)
An online UPS uses double conversion technology to provide seamless and clean power. It works
in three stages:
1. AC to DC Conversion (Rectifier):
Incoming AC power is converted into DC power to charge the battery and feed the inverter.
2. DC to AC Conversion (Inverter):
The inverter then converts the DC power back into a pure sine wave AC output
completely isolated from input power issues.
3. Battery Backup:
If utility power fails, the UPS continues to supply power from the battery without switching
delay, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
This constant double conversion filters noise, voltage spikes, harmonics, and fluctuations ideal
for sensitive industrial controls and automation.
